Loan program boosts small business
The city of Reading is giving a small business a big boost. The ribbon was cut Wednesday night for the Sofrito Gastro Pub in the 200 block of Douglass Street. The restaurant was formerly known as Tommy's Cafe. The new owner had received a Micro-Loan from the city last May. City officials say the Micro-Loan program is available to those who want to start a business in low and moderate income …
